Oh my! I cannot begin to describe what an extraordinary event this was. It was three years ago when I first learned the eclipse was coming and my brother and I planned from then. Our chosen location in southeastern Wyoming just west of Lingle proved to be pretty much perfect. It was away from the hoards of people and skies were absolutely clear. This is an image showing the 'diamond ring effect' just before the totality phase of the solar eclipse. I love the rays shooting off and the fact you can see the prominences on the sun's edge.
My name is Tony and I am a Denver native, a proud veteran of the United States Navy, an IT manager, a weather geek and of course a photographer. My interest in photography started in high school and was spurred on by my parents generously giving me my first SLR for Christmas one year.
