When hanging out at 12,000 feet or so on Colorado’s Mount Evans you expect to find Mountain Goats, Marmots, and Pikas. What you don’t normally see is a big rabbit. On this day however my son and I spotted this big-eared fellow up high in a rock field on the alpine tundra. An unusual find as they don’t normally hang out this high so while the subject is not uncommon, its location was. Definitely happy to have been able to get a picture of it before it took off running.
