Description
The appearance of this cinnamon-colored Black Bear caused quite a crowd in a popular recreation area. While it was calm, it remained wary as it took a drink from the cool waters of the South Platte River. The American Black Bear is North America’s smallest but most widespread bear. It can be found in 40 states and much of Canada. Taken in Waterton Canyon southwest of Denver, Colorado.

Really cool..............what distance were you from this bear Tony?
Tony Hake replied:
Thanks, Tim! He was on the opposite of the South Platte River so thankfully not too close an with a good bit of terrain in between. Probably about 30 - 40 yards or so away.
