Product Details

Our luxuriously soft blankets are available in two different sizes and feature incredible artwork on the top surface. The bottom surface is white. Our 100% polyester blankets are available in two different styles: plush fleece and sherpa fleece. Plush fleece blankets are soft and fluffy on both sides, whereas sherpa blankets are smooth like a soft sweater on the artwork side (i.e. shorter threads) which provides for a sharper image. Looking for a recommendation? Go with a 60" x 80" plush fleece blanket. It's soft and luxurious on both sides... the artwork looks incredible... and the size is just right for everyone.

Artist's Description

Well, this isn’t something you see very often! One of North America’s smallest birds challenging one of its biggest raptors! A bit of David versus Goliath in the bird world. Last month while out with my protégé looking for moose, he spotted a bald eagle landing in a pine tree. That was a photo op that of course was too good to pass. As it sat regally in the tree over a pond, we had hopes it would opt to go fishing. It never did but the big eagle’s presence seemed to greatly upset a broad-tailed hummingbird. Repeatedly the hummingbird flew around and dove toward the eagle. It never did make contact but it was doing its best to get the eagle’s attention and compel it to leave. The eagle, ever stoic, did not acknowledge the hummingbird once, despite having this little bird buzzing around. It was pretty fun to watch and the pics really help show the tremendous size difference between these two extremes of birds. Taken at Colorado Parks and Wildlife Golden Gate Canyon State Park.

About Tony Hake

Tony Hake

My name is Tony and I am a Denver native, a proud veteran of the United States Navy, an IT manager, a weather geek and of course a photographer. My interest in photography started in high school and was spurred on by my parents generously giving me my first SLR for Christmas one year. That Canon AE-1 Program took an awful lot of pictures as I dabbled in my then-new hobby. Since then, a camera has never been far from my side. A Canon EOS 620 accompanied me to the Persian Gulf and many other locations domestic and abroad when I was in the military. That was followed by an EOS 20D, a Rebel T2i, a 60D then a 70D, a 7D Mark II, 60D Mark II, 5D Mark IV and now two EOS R5s. Those cameras have captured the roar of military aircraft taking...
