A female Great Horned Owl returns to her nest. With her owlets now old enough, this female felt comfortable leaving the nest - but only for short periods of time. Her she returns to check on her brood. Great Horned Owls are found across almost all of North America and parts of Sound America. They are the classic owl often pictured in books.

My name is Tony and I am a Denver native, a proud veteran of the United States Navy, an IT manager, a weather geek and of course a photographer.
