Artist's Description

Hearing another nearby, an Eastern Screech Owl wakes up and starts making its distinctive trill sound. Taken in Littleton, Colorado. Screech Owls are common east of the Rockies and can be found in just about any place there is a tree. They are well camouflaged and like most owls, active at night.
