Description
Soon after sunrise, dramatic skies are seen to the north of Mount Evans in Colorado. Mount Evans is one of the most famous peaks in the Centennial State and is named after John Evans, the second governor of the Colorado Territory. The mountain tops out at 14,271 ft (4350 m), much of which is accessed by the highest paved road in North America.
